HEALTHY FOOD

Lifestyle is the way you live your life. It should make you feel good and happy. This can be done by anything, but healthy food plays a greater role in this than you might initially think.

How does that work exactly? And what is healthy food anyway?

The answer to this question is complex.
A lot of scientific research is being done into the effect of nutrition. Your body needs nutrients for growth and development. The correct amount is important for the optimal function.

Macronutrients are the energy-producing nutrients: fats, carbohydrates, proteins and alcohol. The micronutrients are: vitamins, minerals and trace elements. These trace elements in particular help your body with all kinds of important processes. They are very small, but oh so important! You can find a lot of them in vegetables.

The recommended amount of vegetables is 250 grams per day. That is just about 5 serving spoons. Do you achieve this amount?

Vegetables are not really seen as the main course. Such a shame, because there are so many options and delicious recipes. I regularly get my inspiration for tasty and healthy food from Love my Salad. Here they know everything in the field of growing and preparing vegetables.

My expertise is in the field of dietetics and psychology. You can also find a more detailed explanation in my blog Eat (yourself) smart.

When is it useful to be coached by me?

- If you realize that it is better to watch your diet, but you don't know how to do this.

- If you can no longer see 'the woord for the trees' and need help to find the food pattern that works best for your body.

- If you have already tried many diets, but are unable to achieve (lasting) results

- If you just want to keep it simple and want to be able to enjoy a healthier body with the right adjustments.

What does a coaching process look like?

- Intake, measuring and setting goals
- Food diary analysis, walk through (refrigerated) cupboards, advice and tips
- Supermarket visit, learn to read labels
- Implement behavioral change
- Evaluation

The process takes approximately 5 sessions.

These sessions are online or if you live nearby, I could come to your home as well.

I'm going to ask you all sorts of questions to chart your lifestyle.
You can stand on the scales, measure your belly size and then we set goals.

You'll keep a food diary for a few days.
This helps you to become more aware of your eating behavior.
With the help of the food diary we can check which nutrients you have a deficiency or excess of.
This can be very useful and important information.

Based on our conversations and the food diary, you will receive customized nutritional advice, we will go through your kitchen cupboards and adjust your goals if necessary.

I'll explain you how to read the labels on your food and what you should pay attention to when you visit the supermarket.

Any underlying problems are also addressed.

For more information you can of course contact me. A first interview is always free and without obligation.
